OKLAHOMA CITY- Residents of the Oklahoma’s capital can expect most departments and services to be closed this Monday, July 4th, to celebrate America’s birthday.

You can expect the following changes this week:

All Oklahoma City city offices are closed for the day. However, the municipal court pay window is open year-round from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If your home has trash or recycling pickup scheduled for Monday’s, trash and bulk waste has scheduled a makeup day on Wednesday, July 6. Additionally, the household hazardous waste facility and animal shelter will be closed.

For those who rely on public transportation, EMBARK bus services have no plans to run routes.

If you’re looking to cool off, the family aquatic centers will be open from noon to 6 p.m. , while the spraygrounds have posted hours from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Woodson Pool Northeast pool and Foster Indoor pool will not open for the day, nor will any city recreation centers or senior centers.

Both the Will Rogers Garden Exhibition Center and Ed Lycan Conservatory will be closed, but have said their outdoor grounds are going to be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Likewise, the Martin Park Nature Center Trails are set to be open from 5 am to 9 pm, however, the Visitors’ Center will be closed.
