PRAGUE, Okla. - Good classic diners are one of those great finds that can turn a lazy weekend drive into a memorable outing.  Our family loves to find a good dinner with great burgers and home cooked food.

We were really lucky to find Chaddar's open on Labor Day because we were all starving assuming we would have to settle for fast food...then we saw the Chaddar's OPEN sign.

Chaddar's is a diner set in a renovated gas station in Prague, Oklahoma on Main Street off of Hwy 99.  You could easily pop in from I-40 just a few miles south.

Even the old pumps still stand outside with the Chaddar's logo.  It has classic dinner written all over it complete with Rock 'n' roll memorabilia, a juke box and delicious shakes.

The other great thing abour Chaddar's that my kids and husband loved was BREAKFAST SERVED ALL DAY.  My son is a eat a dozen scambled eggs kinda kid so this was right up his alley.  I sampled the gravy, which let's be honest you can tell if it made from a powder.  This gravy was the real deal complete with flaky, yummy biscuits.

I had the classic cheese burger and fried zucchini (I am attempting to be healthy).  The burger was great and zucchini chips even better.  Plus the ranch dressing, which can also make or break a meal in Oklahoma, was that perfect ranch dressing that you want to pour on everything, unless your not from Oklahoma.

They serve all kinds of other options like a recent fried chicken and peach cobbler special everyone was invite to enjoy after church last Sunday.

Chaddar's recently won the 2014 Best of Prague Award.  Chaddar's even delivers food to the Prague Middle School and High School.  I wish I had this kind of service when I was in school.

Located at 919 W. Main Street, Prague, OK.  Check out their Facebook for daily specials here.
