MOORE, Okla. – Although details were limited, the National UFO Reporting Center in Washington state noted a UFO sighting here in Moore from April 1, 2016 (April Fool's Day, of course), involving a disk-shaped object hovering over a field for a duration of approximately three minutes.

A “high school student” in Moore told NUFORC Director Peter Davenport last month about his sighting, which was also witnessed by members of the student’s family in an undetermined area of Moore.

Reported the student: “Me and my family were driving home from the movies when my stepmom stopped the car and we couldn't believe our eyes. It couldn't be a airplane because it wasn't moving; it was just hovering over the field behind our neighborhood.

As we drove closer, it disappeared, and the kids were sitting In front of house. They didn't seem normal they ran off as soon as we got out.”

Red Dirt Report has reached out to NUFORC in hopes of being put in contact with the eyewitness.

If that happens, we hope to have a follow-up report soon.

EDITOR'S NOTE: In May 2013, this reporter, along with a passenger in the vehicle in which I was traveling, witnessed strange lights along I-35 while driving north through Moore. Here is the story we did at the time. It was later chalked up to "Chinese lanterns," although that was not confirmed independently.
