OKLAHOMA CITY – Nearly 200 voters waited patiently in line on a cool, cloudy Election Day morning in anticipation of the 7 a.m. opening of the polling place at St. Luke’s UnitedMethodist Church in Heritage Hills.

Voter Jane Jenkins told Red Dirt Report that she was excited to vote for her candidate and issues – which she did not specifically name – but was glad it was finally over today, noting that she got in line at 6:45 a.m. so she could cast her vote and move on with her day.

“I’m very glad,” Jenkins said. “I think it’s been a very tough election race.”

Meanwhile, Bob Morris stood in line, holding a cup of coffee and looking relaxed.

“I’ve made up my mind,” Morris said. “I will be a Trump supporter. I’ve followed (the campaign) for 14 solid months. And as a small business owner, (Trump) seems like the right guy. Between the two of them, he’s the one for me.”

Red Dirt Report will be covering Election Day with reporters covering different events and watch parties. And be sure to watch for us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, #ElectionCentral.
