OKLAHOMA CITY – A well-known Oklahoma City landmark is back in business this week. The iconic 1930’s-era Tower Theatre is set to host Jabee, a hip-hop artist from Oklahoma on Saturday. The city’s Uptown 23rd District held a pre-grand opening tour of the newly renovated facility prior to the concert.

Scott Marsh, Chief Operating Officer of Levelland Productions, says he is ready to see the venue finally come back to life.

“I’m definitely excited. This project is like my baby. I’m so honored to be a part of this incredible, historic moment,” Marsh said. “I’ve been driving by it since I was a kid, so this is a dream come true.”

The interior of the once-deserted building has been restored to its original glory, complete with 1930’s style floors and décor.

Scott Marsh, COO of Levelland Productions, shares his excitement about the upcoming concert.

The theatre’s walls are adorned with striking red curtains. The venue has a capacity of 1,000 people.

A tour participant stops to take advantage of a photo opportunity behind the Tower Theatre’s red curtains.

The building’s original seats can be found in the theatre’s balcony. The seats have been reupholstered and brought back to their original state.

The Tower Theatre is nestled on Northwest 23rd Street between Walker and Hudson avenues.

Posters advertising Jabee’s upcoming performance adorn the ticket box and glass entrance.

The concert starts at 8 p.m. Saturday, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The venue is located at 425 NW 23rd Street. For more information on the Tower Theatre, visit
