BOOK REVIEW: Where Did The Towers Go?: Evidence of Directed Free-Energy Technology on 9/11 by Dr. Judy Wood (The New Investigation) 2010

I don't know about you, dear reader, but in the more than 11 years since the 9/11 terror attacks I have had numerous nagging questions about the sequence of events that went down that horrific day in 2001.

And in the intervening years, there has been plenty of speculation and plenty of alternative theories as to what, specifically, led to the full-on collapse and complete destruction of the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center in New York. After all, the collapse of WTC 1 and 2 (and later - and inexplicably - WTC 7) came down a little too perfectly, as if by design.

Sure, many continue to believe the government-version of things, much like they believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The notion that poorly-trained foreign terrorists managed to hit their targets while piloting hijacked airliners never held water for me - from Day 1. But then what did really happen? Conventional "pancaking"? Pre-placed explosives? Thermite? Mini-nukes? Something entirely different or advanced?

I've entertained some theories over the years but was never 100 percent on any of them. There were too many unexplained "anomalies" that troubled me. Plus, there was also the issue of the people who were promoting a pet theory. Over the years the infighting and sometimes hateful rhetoric emerging from the "9/11 truth" community grew wearisome. For a reporter and some-time researcher such as myself, I just wanted information presented to me that was free of politics.

And as a result, I had put aside even looking into the matter of 9/11 and what may have really happened that day - until I heard about the controversial tome by Dr. Judy Wood titled Where Did The Towers Go?: Evidence of Directed Free-Energy Technology on 9/11. Now there is a book title that could cause many to flee or to dismiss as being in the category of wild-eyed "space beam" conspiracy theory.

Well, upon reading the thoroughly engaging book, where the foreward, penned by Eric Larsen, starts off by declaring "The book you hold in your hands is the most important book of the 21st century …" you know you are about to entertain some very far-out ideas based in solid, scientific evidence.

And while this information is hard to take, it is important to note a quote Wood included in the book from the late scientist Carl Sagan: "One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge - even to ourselves - that we've been so credulous."

With that in mind, it is no wonder why people even in the so-called "9/11 truth" community viciously attack Wood's ideas and information. Yet the evidence is there for all to see, only if they would open their eyes.

For instance, the towers appear not so much to collapse as to "dustify" - turn to dust in mid-air - before hitting the ground. Not convinced? Then explain why the resulting rubble pile was far smaller than the total mass of the buildings that was left behind.

And that is what is so great about the 500-page Where Did The Towers Go?. It is a very grounded book containing hundreds of photos taken at and around the WTC site, along with easy-to-understand charts and graphs that will have any intellectually-honest reader giving the entire 9/11 story a second glance.

It is in those photos that one begins to visually see the picture that Wood is putting together in her incredibly important book. For instance, did you know that the most "long-lived hurricane" of the 2001 Atlantic hurricane season - Hurricane Erin - was just off the coast of the northeastern U.S. and yet no one was talking about this hurricane, at the time, at all. Weather reports and maps on the day of Sept. 11, 2001 do not reference this hurricane, even though it was on track to hit the New York area. Why was Hurricane Erin virtually ignored, despite the fact that it was a Category 3 storm and was rapidly approaching a highly-populated area - until it inexplicably veered north/northeast on 9/11.

Was Hurricane Erin "diverted" as part of the powerful "directed-energy technology" that Wood suggests may have been behind the destruction of the towers? No, Wood does not give name to the technology likely used that day. Instead she points to the scientific advancements of early 20th century inventor Nikola Tesla and the Canadian scientist/experimentalist John Hutchison who has produced field effects that can contort metal into all sorts of curious shapes.

This "weapon," which Wood suggests was used, did not burn paper, but caused cars, parked blocks away, to catch on fire - and "weird fires" at that. Additionally, there were numerous reports of strange explosions. Firemen's portable air-tanks would suddenly explode.

The victims in the towers reported being "hot" - many before jumping to their deaths - yet not seeing any fire. What was causing the intense "hot" sensation that likely led many to make that unthinkable decision?

And then there are the strange "holes" that appear in glass or appeared in the smoke, moments before the towers' "dustification." What caused that?

Additionally, Wood notes that dust at the site would break down in unusual fashion. Metal would rust almost instantaneously following the "attacks." Why is that?

There is much here that is based in scientific fact and Wood - a former professor of mechanical engineering with research interests in experimental stress analysis, structural mechanics, optical methods, deformation analysis and more - has studied over 40,000 images, hundreds of video clips, analyzed dust samples, seismic data and other "environmental evidence" pertaining to the destruction of the WTC. There is nothing "political" about Wood's remarkable book. She is merely following her heart and mind and bravely offering her findings to the public.

As she notes in her conclusion: "None of the facts, events, anomalies, or phenomena that we have listed, discussed, and analyzed in this book can be explained by airliner crashes, jet fuel fires, or any scheme of controlled demolition."

Wood also concludes: "9/11 was a demonstration to the world of a new technology known as free energy. This is a force that can be used for demonic, ruinous, Earth-destructive purposes. Or it can be used for the good of us, of the Earth, and of our civilizations. We have a choice. And that choice is ours."
