NORMAN, Okla. – The Norman Sooner Lions Club is sponsoring its fourth annual “Ride for Sight” bicycle event starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 21st.

The 10-mile ride will begin at the Norman High School west parking lot and weave through Norman and the campus of the University of Oklahoma.

Norman Sooner Lions Club President Mark Adair encourages one and all to participate in this family-friendly event which helps in continuing the Lions Club’s efforts to provide eye care for students in Norman who might otherwise not have glasses.

Also, geared for cycling enjoyment, the Ride for Sight is a “win-win” for both participants and the local community.

Participants will receive a Ride for Sight T-shirt and goody bag, and the club will provide coffee, juice, and snacks at the halfway rest stop. Additionally, every Ride for Sight rider will receive one ticket for a drawing for a new, $300 bicycle, which is provided by Red Dirt Report.

We urge you all to come join us for the fun this Saturday here in Norman. For more information on registering, contact me, Ted H. Smith, the ride chairman, at 405-209-8346.
