Tulsa woman shot, killed in car outside home; Suspect still at large

TULSA- Shortly before 1:30 a.m., 26-year-old Elizabeth Rodriguez was fatally shot as she arrived in a car with her family to their home located on East 2nd Street near the corner of East Admiral Place and South Memorial Drive. Rodriguez's husband, identified as Jose Gomezbaca, 25, allegedly opened fire at the vehicle and struck Rodriguez several times in front of the home they shared before fleeing in his gray 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck with Oklahoma license plate 146QAO.

Rodriguez died in the car from her injuries.

Red Dirt Report arrived on scene just as police were arriving and witnessed the intensity of the situation as police escorted out Rodriguez and Gomezbaca’s children, ages ten and four,  who were asleep in the home at the time of the shooting. Jose Gomezbaca is believed to be armed with a pistol and shotgun and should be considered dangerous.
