OKLAHOMA CITY- The Oklahoma State Capitol, sporting a construction drape, was the scene of a rally Saturday afternoon by Indivisible Oklahoma to protest the proposed tax bill being touted by the United States Congress.

The statewide rally, which drew over four hundred people, was co-sponsored by Indivisible chapters across Oklahoma, and many other progressive groups.

The rally featured twelve speakers who were experts in their fields, five of whom held Ph.D. level degrees.

The keynote speaker was Mitchell P. Smith, Ph.D., of Oklahoma University, and member of the Oklahoma Coalition of Scholars.

Other speakers included representatives of the Sierra Club, Edmond Democratic Women, Indivisible Stillwater, Green Country Democratic Socialists, World House Scholars, and The Oklahoma Labor Federation, and various other organizations.
