OKLAHOMA CITY – With dry and windy conditions continuing to trigger wildfires in the northwestern parts of Oklahoma, volunteers here in Oklahoma City and in Enid are gathering donated supplies to send to those brave men and women battling these dangerous and fast-moving fires.

Babs Babcock, of Oklahoma City, tells Red Dirt Report that the needed items for the firefighters include:

Lip balm

Eye drops

Hand lotion

Socks

Small bottles of Aleve or Tylenol

Walmart gift cards so people whose homes were damaged by fire can buy needed supplies

If you have items to donate, please bring them by the Red Dirt Report office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. The office is located at 717 NW 17th Street in Oklahoma City. Babcock will then pick up the donated items and drive it to the Salvation Army volunteers in Enid who will then go to Woodward and make sure those in need get the donated items.
