OKLAHOMA CITY – Following last week's unanimous vote in favor of Rep. Charles Key's HJR 1003, calling for legislative support of the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, it's companion bill in the Senate, SJR 10, was supported Tuesday 6-1 by the bipartisan Senate Judiciary Committee.

And there were plenty of supporters on hand to watch the discussion and the subsequent vote. Many wore stickers on their lapel which simply read "10," supporting Brogdon's pro-states rights resolution.

And while it is not getting a whole lot of attention in the mainstream press, a number of states, including Washington, New Hampshire, Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Missouri, California, and Georgia have all introduced bills and resolutions declaring sovereignty under the 10th Amendment.

Additionally, Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering such measures.

Introduced by its Senate author, Sen. Randy Brogdon, R-Owasso, he explained that the "federal government has been putting the screws on (the states) a little tighter and tighter each year" along with unfunded mandates of varying sorts.

And each time this happens, Brogdon explained, "We lose a little bit of our freedom and liberty."

The two dissenters, Sen. Kenneth Corn, D-Poteau and Sen. Charlie Laster, D-Shawnee, questioned the resolution.

Laster questioned the use of the word "sovereignty" and why it was necessary to use it in the language of the resolution.

"That language gets to the crux of the matter," Brogdon said. "We are a sovereign state and a sovereign people."

Added Brogdon, "Our sovereignty is being attacked."

When asked by Corn about federal dollars possibly being jeopardized by such a resolution, Brogdon reassured him and the Judiciary Committee that federal funding was not at risk.

Corn, particularly, wanted Brogdon to clarify the strength of the resolution.

"We're making a statement to the federal government," Brogdon said, adding that reiterating the power of the 10th Amendment, as a reminder to the U.S. Government not to overstep its bounds, is "the responsibility of this legislative body."

"This is a paper tiger," Corn said, after noting that the resolution was the legislature "just making a statement."

Brogdon, however, wanted it noted that the responsibility of the legislature is "to protect the citizens of Oklahoma."

When the final vote was taken, Laster was the only "nay" vote amongst the committee members, Corn having voted with the majority.

And just as Oklahoma is taking a stand against ever-encroaching federal tyranny, other states are taking steps to remind Uncle Sam that they are sovereign and are not slaves to Washington D.C.

"We are a member of the United States of America," Brogdon said. "But being a member doesn't mean we are in submission to the federal government."

This is really about protecting the United States of America from Jewish/Zionist/Israeli Control. Even through, on a local level, the Jews also have total control of the system as well. It is way past time to stop pretending this isn't a Jewish problem and admit we all see the Giant Pink Israeli Elephant. In my state of Montana, the Governor is Jewish as well. I think the whole thing is a smoke screen set up to calm the restless natives! Let's just hope all the citizens get involved and send notice to the Jewish Mob Bosses, that sit at the top of the banking system, that we are coming for them. It is time for the widespread formation of Citizen Militias and civil disobedience to the Federal government and it's illegal taxation of the people.
To Bill Shultz, The Governor of Montana is NOT Jewish. He's half Irish and half German. This is your own governor and you don't even know that?! Don't bother commenting unless you get the facts straight.
We need to cut off the 9 Billion dollars per year that we GIVE TO ISRAEL. We need to discontinue support for Israel. We need to try all traitors who ally with Israel, before the USA, and sit in high offices, and in the offices of CEO's and board members of privately held banks, including the Federal Reserve. We need to eliminate the Federal Reserve, and make our own currency, end the debt slavery and bring our troops home. Until we stop spending money on wars, and WMD, we will remain slaves to the Zionists and continue to live in karmic retribution for our sins for so doing.
About time though thinking federal money isn't involved is wishful thinking. That's part of the problem. We want our cake and eat it too. If we want the beast off our back it won't be cheap or easy. Are we sovereign citizens of the State of Oklahoma or slaves of the United States of America. We need leaders that assert America's right to exist. We need "America Firsters", not "America Lasters". If we truly want to reassert our Constitutional liberties, the privately owned Federal Reserve as well as the fiat faith based monetary system must be abandoned in favor of a system that benefits the many not just the few. While we're at it, let's quit blaming the jews. There's enough corrupt, unchristian "Christians" benefiting the greed based lifestyle that's bankrupting the globe
I don't think this will be enough. I think it will take at least one state breaking away and declare their complete sovereignty from the country. I think it will probably be Hawaii. When this economic meltdown gets further underway, it could change everything. California is close to a complete collapse. Maybe they will be the first to bolt. They will have to get rid of the Economic Girly-Man, if they do. Sad to see my state hasn't even considered declaring our sovereignty! New York. I'm not surprised. Start rising up people and let the SOBs know that you care about human rights and freedom! Make them worry about a second revolution! Demand that the Bush administration, be held accountable for their crimes! If the Girly-Man gets too afraid when the masses revolt in California, he can have his buddy Rothschild, airlift him out. I see he likes taking air rides with him!
always wanted to move to montana very close actually but the occupiing forces are all over that state and will be cominmg for your property the govener ive heard talk many times still needs to grow a pair all still are appointed you vote for the choices someone else picks for you and hawaii is not a state it is truly occupied land was forcefully taken over the 48 were all coericed until the fedz are all put back into there 10 mile area know as dc this will only get worse and just because i was born here does not mean im owned property like the state would assume you can try take our children and property see what happens once they are all piled in dc it needs to be burned and buried not ever allowed out again
Thank you! Now, please stand up for Oklahomans to get this passed! The House passed it today.
Schultz, if you have to construct an external agency to blame your problems on, at least pick a credible one. What religious group is committing terrorists act all over the globe, including in the United States?
Way to go OKLAHOMA! We the people, seal the deal with complete , total sovereignty. They wanted change, lets give them a change. We can change everything.
