OPINION

OKLAHOMA CITY – As expected, Mitt Romney chose U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Janesville, Wis.) to be his running mate. We are calling this race between Romney-Ryan and Obama-Biden the “R2/D2” race. No, it’s not about a friendly droid and companion of a prissy robot named C-3P0.

No, it means R2 (as in R-squared) is Romney and Ryan and Obama and Biden are the D2 – or two Democrats. Which will it be in the R2/D2 race? Our bet is on R2 this November. We suspect the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential debates will clarify who the American people really want steering the ship that is the U.S. economy. Right now, that ship is sinking. Interesting that Romney chose to introduce Ryan in front of the battleship the U.S.S. Wisconsin. A battleship, y’all! This is going to be a real battle to the finish line. A lot is at stake.

Of course Mitt Romney is going to have to clear up a few things first, like ... did he raise money to start Bain Capital using funds from right-wing El Salvadorans who oversaw those death squads back in the 1980's? An important question. For more on that, check out this video from the Minutemen called "King of the Hill." D. Boon, if he were here today, might have something to say about that.

And will Paul Ryan admit to driving the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile back in the day? Time to come clean, Mr. Ryan, with relish!

We should note that Paul Ryan's wife is from Madill, Oklahoma and their dogs are named Boomer and Sooner. There's no question that the Romney/Ryan ticket will carry Oklahoma. Read our November 2011 article regarding Paul Ryan during his visit to Oklahoma City here.

I think Ryan should be proud of his wiener job, st lest he had a job. Romney picks the smartest person in the house for vp , oboma picked the dumbest person in the senate , I like smart people trying to figure out tuff problems. I don't think oboma or biden are smart, they are just repeating hate filled rhetoric from the !930 s .we need21 century answered to our problems. Issuing driver license with a type writer and delivering junk mail 6 times a week is not the answer.
