OKLAHOMA CITY – One witness suggested it was a terrorist attack. And by all accounts that is exactly what took place not long after moviegoers had settled into their seats to watch the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in theatre no. 9 at the Century 16 movie theatre in the Denver suburb of Aurora, Colorado.

Fifteen are reported dead and as many as 50 were wounded in the attack. (This may actually be 14 or, as we just learned, lowered to 12).

“We saw people running around and screaming,” said one witness in a CNN report.

A “smoke device” was used before the gunman opened fire. It sounds like something the “Bane” villain in the very film they were watching. It is all a shocking, horrible coincidence.

The gunman, who has not been identified at the writing of this post, was found hiding near a car behind the Century 16 theatre. A gas mask, rifle, handgun and one other weapon was found, according to reports. It will be interesting to see the identity of the gunman. Will it be another Jared Lee Loughner MK-Ultra dupe? A Harris/Klebold trenchcoat mafia type?

Of course Littleton, Colorado, where the Columbine High School shooting took place 13 years ago, weighs heavily on that region to this day. Your Red Dirt Reporter had been contacted in recent days from a family connected to the Columbine tragedy suggesting there was more to it than has been reported. We may have more on that later.

Synchromystically speaking, we have to acknowledge that there was a build-up to this shooting in the past days and weeks. Colorado was in the news a lot. The wildfires, in particular. Friends and family had been in that state in recent days. The evil murals at the Denver International Airport and a keychain from the most haunted room in Colorado’s most haunted hotel, The Stanley, was received by this reporter. Again, something was in the air, in the smoky haze.

Loren Coleman of the excellent Twilight Language blog has been analyzing what he calls the “Bain/Bane” syncs. He has been doing this analysis for days and yesterday wrote: “Will any events take place on July 20, 2012, of any import?”

Tragically, they did.

This had been my mind as well as Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been hammered by his foes for his dealings while with Bain Capital. It has been “Bain” 24/7. An image from The Dark Knight Rises was on the Drudge Report a few days ago was used along with the headline “Dems to use ‘Batman’ against Romney.”

And of course that segues into the release – at midnight – of  The Dark Knight Rises and Batman’s main villain being Bane. Who would have thought that in 2012 the names Bain and Bane would overlap one another in the same week and there to be a tragedy involving a terroristic gunman who – according to early news reports – was dressed not unlike the Bane villain according to some reports.

The Twilight Language's Coleman also wrote that there are memorable “themes” connected with the date July 20th. It was on this day in 1969 that the Apollo 11 reportedly landed on the Moon. Viking 1 landed on Mars on this day in 1976. And while there are space syncs there are also assassinations in connection with July 20th. Adolf Hitler survived an assassination attempt on this day in 1944. King Abdullah I of Jordan was assassinated on this day in 1951. Bruce Lee, possibly assassinated, died on this day in 1973.

And oddly, we see that while it was not July 20th, Coleman writes: “neo-Nazi (Anders) Breivik massacre in Norway (July 22, 2011) was the day of the release of the film Captain America (July 22, 2011), with the first scene taking place in Norway, to the sound of Nazis' rapid fire machine gunning. A bizarre coincidence, to say the least.

Four days ago, in my RDR Monday round-up, focusing on the Best Buy murders in Tulsa, I wrote: “This Best Buy shooting brought to mind the infamous San Ysidro, California McDonald’s massacre on Wednesday, July 18, 1984. It was days before the start of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and my eyes were glued to the tube that summer. When I saw that story, as a (nearly) 12-year old, I was shocked. The photo of 11-year-old Omar Hernandez, shot dead near his bicycle, seared into my brain. Twenty-two people died and 19 were injured. The politically paranoid survivalist James Huberty, who was also killed, was the perpetrator of that massacre. He had told his wife he was “hunting humans” and that “society had its chance.”

I just realized that the 28th anniversary of that massacre is on … Wednesday.”

Clearly the idea of a gun-related “massacre” was in the air. And as I recall that horrible image of Omar Hernandez from 28 years ago, the first name I see linked to the Aurora story is that of a 30-year-old witness named Benjamin Fernandez, as reported in The Denver Post.

Hernandez and Fernandez are essentially the same name, both meaning son of Fernando and meaning “bold voyager.” That resonates, to me, synchromystically.

As does the Batman film franchise connection to McDonald’s in the 1990’s, around the time DC Comics introduced the Bane villain in 1993.

As does the fact that as I write this, a speech by Sen. John McCain (2008 Republican presidential candidate) is being played on MSNBC where he says the Obama administration should be more concerned about massacres in Syria than over Romney’s dealings with Bain. Is this shooting synchromystically linked to the drums of war?

Read the Twilight Language three part Bane/Bain series here, here and here.

And before we sign off, we should recall that the alleged “Batman curse” is something this analyst cannot ignore. During film of The Dark Knight Rises, there were several mishaps

Stay tuned.

Hi Marco, I will second the view laid out by Mette. Understand the setintg we're talking about. 600 kids on a tiny island, organizezd by a handful of grownups. Everybody already shook by the news from the Oslo Bomb. The first ones to be killed were the grownups, the guards, the policeman present. All fearlessly attempting to stop the coward gunman. All shoot down in cold blood. Without any ample means to stop the terrorist, the options you face are few. Run to save your life. Hearing someone calling them selfish breaks my heart. Their account tell stories of unselfish youth, the olders helping the younger, no one left behind. Freinds seeking shelter together, trying to rescue the wounded. Many started to swim ashore. Too many of them were killed while swimming. The survivors helped each other, encouraging each other as they became exhausted. It is a long way to swim, even for the calm and fit. This was kids in panic, experiencing hell on earth. Unselfish, empatic, scared to death.A kid, only 11, saw his dad getting shot right before his eyes. In shock, he still faces the killer crying out. You have killed my daddy! I am too young to die go away . In a rare glimpse of empathy, the killer walked away to seek other victims. The kid survived. No one knew the magnitude of the force of the attacker(s). No one knew he only one. What they knew, was that they were unarmed, he was not. They knew he could not be rasoned with. Many tell of seeing comrades begging for their lives, being shot at point blank rage. Being shot twice so that the terrorist would be sure they were dead. In this terror, freindship and unselfishness found its way to save many lives. This night we found so many brave heroes amongst our young ones. And their tales will live on even if not all of the heroes survived. Hopefully, the world will understand their tales, not call them selfish. We, the people of Norway, do not. They are our heroes. We try our best to comfort the living while we weep over our dead. The scale of this is hard to imagine. Compared to population, this would equal a US killing of 5000 americans. In Norway, this tragedy is twice as big as 911 was for the US. The largest gunman massacre in peacetime in the world. I hope you journalist colleague will grasp the stories told an dnot expect some fiction Red Dawn response from innocent, untraing, unprepared, unarmed youth. I do take comfort in knowing that he himself would be the first to heroicly throw himself in the line of fire should he heaven forbid experience a similar scenario.

Andrew, what do you make of the report that the man in court was not James Holmes? Disinfo or real concern? Andrew, is there free facial recognition software we could use to compare these 'faces'? http://z6mag.com/featured/james-holmes-pictures-dont-match-1612599.html

Informative post about this shocking tragedy. You write about the coincidence of the Anders Breivik massacre with the opening of the film 'Captain America', and the opening scene of Nazis machine gunning Norwegians. There is another film coincidence with the Breivik massacre and I haven't found anybody who has mentioned it, but I may have missed it. Namely the film 'The Thing', the identically named prequel to John Carpenter's 'The Thing', was released in October 2011. Of course the thing is the horrific alien shape-shifting entity that crash landed from a space ship eons ago. In the prequel, it devours and kills horribly the Norwegian scientists and personnel on the Norwegian Antarctic base. The alien entity is disguised or morphs itself as a human, and is indistinguishable from its human prey - where the terror of the film comes from, none of the Norwegian victims know who is or is not 'the thing'. As with Breivik, a stereotypically handsome blonde Scandinavian man, who won over the trust of the Norwegian youngsters (they initially thought he was a Norwegian policeman or agent) who he then proceeded to massacre. In reality Breivik was the psychopathic other, his 'disguise' as a regular Norwegian is what allowed him to be so successful in his mass murdering. Also the massacre took place on an isolated island (Utoya which means 'outermost island'), and it took the police ages to get there, as Breivik killed at his own pace, almost leisurely. Of course in 'The Thing' (both films) the massacres take place on isolated bases at the far end of the world, Antarctica, and the alien killed at its own steady pace.

I had a very weird experience regarding the San Ysidro massacre (which happened when I was in my early 20s). The night before I awoke in fear from a nightmare about a fast food hamburger still in its wrappings exploding inside a car moving down a crowded highway. The force of the explosion killed the people in the car as well as people in other cars around the vehicle -- a really bizarre image. I got up for a glass of water then quickly went back to sleep. I was again awakened from a nightmare. This time I was dreaming about looking through the crosshairs of a rifle scope at a fast food restaurant and aiming at people inside and outside the restaurant. Again I awoke with my heart pounding. It took quite awhile to get back to sleep after that. The very next day the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre took place. I remember this all so vividly because I was so shaken up about having what seemed like prophetic dreams about a horrific event that later took place. BTW, I had no such dream experiences about the Aurora theater shootings, and I was wide awake completely engrossed in a book when the event was happening. I learned of it in today's morning news. However, since my dream experience I've often wondered if some events might be so profound as to ripple backwards through time and affect minds that are in a state that's open enough to perceive them in advance.
